My Children’s Keeper
Love conquers all
The movie Daddy’s little girls is a movie that allows the audience to walk thru the shoes of a man that goes thru the struggles of getting his children back. Idris Elba does a great job portraying the character, allowing us (the audience) to connect with the main character. The movie debuted in 2007 and met it’s budget within the first week of release. Just goes to show you how many hearts it touched. Filled with scenes that make us laugh, love, and even hate some of the charactors , Idris is met with numerous obstacles leading him to one dead end after another. It was not until meeting Gabrielle Union, a spoiled lawyer, who was in so many ways broken herself, that a beaten and battered man was given hope.
Connection is the key
I find myself looking back at all the things I have been thru when watching this movie, after all I am Monty. I have never been one to have an easy life. My family is my life. A real man fights for what he believes in, not because he wants to. Anger can cloudy a pure heart. Misconseption leads to mistakes that many of us can not afford to take.
Like Monty, I grew up in a small town where things seemed so easy at the time, but as we get older we tend to go thru struggles that often shape our charactor. I have never been one to judge or make rash desicions. Instead, I find myself letting the next man make his move and the play my hand after being forced. An honest heart always prevails.
Thru god many things can be done.I have found myself conquering almost every obastacle thrown at me. I was able to get my kids out of an abusive relationship and get custody of them. I have been doing this for almost 15 years by myself and have not ask for a penny. Would I do it again. Yes I would. No man or woman should ever have to watch their kids being mistreated.
