At Fullsail University I was given the task of creating sounds for a gameplay video. Before this assignment I had never worked on a game video before. I wanted to create sounds that would reflect the gameplay. I know I have a long way to go, but this has  made me respect the people who are behind the scenes in any foley project.

After watching the gameplay video for graveyard, I wanted  the gameplayer to feel as if he or she were stranded and surrounded by something not of this earth. Imagine being alone with only the clothes on your back.

Creating the sounds for the footsteps and clothing were challenging because I wanted them to represent the fact that he or she were alone. The footsteps and clothing were the only things close enough for the player to hear (other than the blood rushing thru his or her veins) that were from this world. By making them louder, I hoped to create the effect that they were  as close as skin to the player's body.

When talking about the ambient sounds, I wanted  the player to feel as if something else  was around crying out for help. These  whispers helped with this task very well. The fire pit also helped back this effect by creating a since of space in the gameplayer's world. Where ever the player went in the graveyard, he or she  were to encounter new sounds.

Over all I really enjoyed this class and have learned alot from it. I look forward to using these technics in the future. Hopefully I will have a better undestanding when using Wwise in the future.
